Description
Engineered Flooring is constructed from several layers of wood fused together. The core is made from layers of HDF, plywood or softwood running in different directions to increase overall stability of the floor. The top layer often called the ‘Wear Layer’ in an engineered board is always made from a veneer of solid wood between 2-6mm in thickness. Because this top layer is made from a solid wood veneer, it has the overall visual characteristics of a solid floor. Engineered floors are also simple to install thanks to a selection of T&G or LOC fixing systems available.
Our Timba 14mm Engineered flooring, with the market leading Välinge 5G LOC system, is great when a floating floor system over underlay is required plus it has the added benefit of a quick and easy installation. Very popular in both domestic and commercial installations, Timba Floor engineered flooring is also ideal for use over modern under floor heating systems.
